My Background

Having previously worked for large corporate businesses, both in London and overseas, I am especially aware of the effect relocation, and workplace stress can have on our well-being.

After experiencing the transformational power of counselling for myself, I decided to train to become a counsellor. I passionately believe that counselling can be life-changing. By practising as a counsellor, I am able to fulfil my wish to share the benefits of counselling with others.

"Though no one can go back and make a new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending"

Qualifications And Experience

I hold a Foundation Degree (FdA) in Therapeutic Counselling, in which I gained a Distinction. I am at the end of my second year in a four year UKCP accredited Psychotherapy postgraduate course with the Karuna Institute . I also hold certificates in Bereavement counselling, and in Solution Focused Therapy.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Accreditation is awarded after completing an in depth assessment, and it demonstrates a high standard of knowledge, practice and experience. As an accredited member I adhere to the BACP ethical framework, I have regular supervision, personal therapy and I engage in continuing professional development.

I have worked as a counsellor for 8 years. For a number of years I have also worked as the nominated counsellor for a local business, where I provide support to employees through their Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
